BCRW 2026 Scholarship Application

To All 2026 Boyd County Female Graduates:

 

The Boyd County Republican Women’s Club is proud to offer a $1500 Scholarship to a graduating high school female who is a resident of Boyd County, Kentucky. The applicant must also be registered as a Republican at the time the scholarship is awarded. In the event that an applicant’s birthday precludes their valid voter registration, an exception may be made if the applicant states in writing that she intends to register as a Republican at the earliest date allowed by Kentucky law. (You can register now if you will be 18 by November 3, 2026)

 

The full scholarship will be divided into two checks. The first will be $750 for the fall semester and the second $750 will be for the following spring semester with the stipulation of being registered and maintaining a 2.5 grade average.

 

The applicant must plan to attend an accredited college or university as a full time student beginning Fall 2026.

 

The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic achievement, financial need, and the desire to embrace the ideals and values of the Republican Party.

 

The completed application, along with the required documentation, must be postmarked by Friday, May 8, 2026.

 

The following MUST be included with your completed application:

 

1. Proof of high school GPA, verified by counselor’s signature

2. Two letters of recommendation from non-relatives, one of which must be a

teacher, administrator, or counselor.

3. Copy of ACT Assessment Report (you may black out SSN)

4. Submitted FAFSA Worksheet or Estimated Family Contribution determined by FAFSA

 

(IF ANY OF THE ABOVE 4 ITEMS ARE NOT INCLUDED, YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP)

The winner and her parents or legal guardian will be the guest at the BCRW’s regular meeting

on Monday, June 1, 2026.
